I’m a London based writer & artist, a graduate of the UEA Creative Writing MA (2004), and completed a Creative Writing PhD at Goldsmiths College (2020). I also hold an MSc in Environment & Sustainable Development, DPU, UCL (2007).

I am founder and director of Literary Kitchen, a creative writing enterprise which offers courses, events and consultancy. In 2014 I founded Literary Kitchen Festival, and ran festivals in 2014 and 2015. I am a Lecturer in Contextual and Theoretical Studies at LCC, UAL, and am an ECR 2022-2024. I am currently the Fiction Editor at Mercurius Magazine where I am curating a portfolio of material-oriented fiction.

I am a Runner Up in the Desperate Literature Prize for Short Fiction 2023. The story can be read here. My fiction pamphlet Waste Extractions is published by Broken Sleep Books, 2022. In 2020 my short story Ada & Carter won The Aleph Writing Prize, and I was shortlisted in the Manchester Fiction Prize.  My novel The Cremation Project, has been shortlisted for the inaugural Fitzcarraldo Editions Novel Prize (2018) and longlisted for the Dzanc Books Fiction Prize (2018). Individual chapters have appeared at: 3: AM Magazine and UEA New Writing, 2021 and 2019.
